IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can carry out a measurement of a quantity of light with effects onto a printing action timing being suppressed, and to provide its control method.

SOLUTION: If a printing signal is inputted from a computer or the like at a time point t12 for a while after a time point t11 when the quantity of light measurement action is started before a quantity of light measurement completion necessary time Ta passes, the quantity of light measurement action is interrupted. At the same time, the printing action is started. Action procedures of the quantity of light measurement action are changed by inputting of the printing signal.
