1,094,227. Television. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON HOUSTON HOTCHKISS BRANDT. June 24, 1965 [June 25, 1964]. No. 26904/65. Heading H4F. The invention relates to means for suppressing amplitude fluctuations in the video signal delivered by high definition camera tubes such as image iconoscopes, vidicons and imageorthicons occurring at one half of the fieldscanning frequency by adjusting the relative phase of the horizontal and vertical scannings of the electron beam of the camera tube. The scanning circuits of a television camera tube V, Fig. 1, comprise a synchronizing signal generator GS, a line sweep generator GL, a phaseshifting device DF and a field-scanning generator GT. The phase-shifting device DF comprises a separator stage, an adjustable delay circuit and a limiting stage, Fig. 2 (not shown), and by adjusting the delay circuit the relative phase shift between the interlaced line and field-scanning signals from generator GS is adjusted to such a value that the fluctuations of the video frequency signal are suppressed and flickering disappears. |
