The segments are separated from the so-formed tubular, multi-edged winding body after the setting-in of the plastic resin. The method for manufacturing a sliding bearing component, comprises winding reinforcing element on a multi-edged winding core (12) under addition of a plastic resin forming the plastic matrix and forming segments between the edges of the winding body. The sliding bearing component has a sliding layer on the basis of a fiber-reinforced plastic with a plastic matrix and the reinforcing element containing plastic fiber (36). The segments are separated from the so-formed tubular, multi-edged winding body after the setting-in of the plastic resin. The separated segments are machined in a post-treatment process. The sliding bearing component has a base layer on the basis of a fiber-reinforced plastic with a plastic matrix and reinforcing element containing a fiber. The reinforcing element of the plastic base layer and the reinforcing element of the plastic sliding layer are wound on the multi-edged winding core under addition of a plastic resin. The reinforcing element of the plastic base layer is made of a glass fiber. During the winding of the fiber of the plastic sliding and/or base layer, the winding core is rotated around its longitudinal axis A and the fiber is fed in a to-and-fro motion along the longitudinal axis of the winding core. Several fibers are simultaneously wound in the form of a fiber bundle (38) around the winding core and intertwined during the winding process. The reinforcing element of the plastic sliding and/or base layer is wound in the form of a pre-fabricated reinforcing textile fiber web on the winding core rotating in its longitudinal axis A. Independent claims are included for: (1) a sliding bearing component; and (2) a device for the production of sliding bearing component.</p>
