A battery having improved sealing characteristics is provided to completely prevent an electrolyte from leaking to the exterior of the battery at a terminal connection, and to improve the lifespan characteristics of the battery. A battery having improved sealing characteristics comprises: a cell(200) including an electrode assembly(500) impregnated with an electrolyte; a cover(300) coupled and sealed to the cell; and a terminal connection(400) coupled to the lateral side of the cover or the cell, wherein a sealant(450) is applied to the terminal connection. The sealant includes a polyurea-based sealant or a polyurethane-based sealant.
