PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make welding conditions (press load and displacement in axial direction) at both ends of an insert material and respective end parts of corresponding two joining members the same conditions with simple structure, and to make the strength of materials at respective connection parts constant in friction pressure welding using the insert material. SOLUTION: A friction pressure welding method includes installing a slide guide means 12, in which a gripping means 15 for a second joining material 2 and a gripping means 16 for an insert material 3 are slidable with respect to a base 4 in a rotary shaft core direction of the insert material, and friction-pressure-welding a first joining material 1 and the insert material, and the second joining material and the insert material with single pressure means.
