PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To do effective balancing exercises close to a horse-riding exercise. SOLUTION: The seated exercise apparatus has an installation base 2, a seat 3, a rocking device 17 provided between the installation base 2 and the seat 3 and rocking the seat 3. The rocking device 17 is composed of an upward and downward movement mechanism 22, a gooseneck movement mechanism 23, and a driving mechanism 21 which simultaneously operates the upward and downward movement mechanism 22 and the gooseneck movement mechanism 23. The upward and downward movement mechanism 22 is provided on the installation base 2, the gooseneck movement mechanism 23 is provided on the upper portion of the upward and downward movement mechanism 22, and the seat 3 is provided in the upper portion of the gooseneck movement mechanism 23.
