PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor which is excellent in response and can support a temperature sensor element rigidly, and to provide a method for manufacturing the temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor comprises: the temperature sensor element 21 for sensing a temperature of a medium; housings 2, 3 containing a terminal 8 which is electrically connected to the temperature sensor element 21 via a lead 22 and is electrically connected to an external processing circuit; and a supporting member 24 which is formed by using a hot-melt method and connected to a potion of the housings 2, 3 such that the lead 22 is disposed therein.
