PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate buoyancy adjustment as to an underwater swimming vehicle under wired remote control. SOLUTION: A wiredly remote-controlled underwater swimming vehicle includes a vehicle 10 swimming by means of a propulsion unit using thrusters 41, 51a, and 51b in water within a nuclear reactor pressure vessel, a signal cable 32 connected to the vehicle 10, a measurement means for external force measurement to detect external force vertically acting on the vehicle 10 owing to the signal cable 32 by means of an external force sensor 33, and a buoyancy adjustment means adjusting the buoyancy of the vehicle 10 by opening or closing solenoid valves 64a and 64b thereby inletting high-pressure gas from a high-pressure cylinder 60 into buoyant bodies 70a and 70b or exhausting gas in the buoyant bodies 70a and 70b from an exhaust tube 68.
