PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump capable of quickly discharging air flowing in an oil chamber out to a delivery passage and of reducing noise and vibration even when pulsation pressure frequency in the delivery passage and resonance frequency of an air chamber coincide. SOLUTION: This oil pump is provided with a pump part continuously increasing and decreasing volume of a plurality of pump chambers by drive of an engine and sucking and discharging oil, and an oil chamber 25 defined by a support block 4 in a housing 3 and an upper cover 5 and arranged in a vertical direction roughly over the delivery passage 19 in which oil discharged from the pump part flows. A communication passage 28 formed in an inclined shape to get a high position in the delivery passage side and making air in the oil chamber flow out into the discharge passage in a reinforcement rib 5a included in an upper part of the upper cover.
