Combined heat and power assembly and method for operating such an assembly

<p>The arrangement has a current generator (GE) driven by an internal combustion engine (VM), where lost heat of the engine is discharged as useful heat to heat circuits (HV, PU, HR) and an electric output power of the generator is discharged as the power of preset frequency to an alternating current network (EN). The generator is operated in two different operating modes with different number of poles by switching the poles. A controller (SE) regulates the engine at different number of rotations according to the modes such that the power frequency in both modes is same as the preset frequency. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a force-heat coupling arrangement.</p>
