BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and a display apparatus having the same are provided to support a diffusion plate and fix a plurality of lamps by a lamp guide by bending a reflection sheet without using a conventional lamp support, thereby reducing manufacturing cost and process through the reduction of the number of parts. A backlight assembly and a display apparatus having the same comprise the following units: a plurality of lamps(300) for generating light; a diffusion plate(330) in which the plurality of lamps is installed; a reflection sheet(400) for reflecting light generated from the plurality of lamps; and a lamp guide(410) which is constructed with a projecting unit for supporting the diffusion plate by bending a part of the reflection sheet towards a space side where the lamps are installed and grooves, installed in the projecting unit, for fixing the lamps.
