PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canister capable of reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: The canister includes a case 10 for receiving adsorbent material 30 in a granular state that adsorbs fuel vapor generated from a fuel tank, and plate-like partition members 40, 45, 48 for supporting the adsorbent material 30 within the case 10. A number of vent holes 60 for allowing the fuel vapor to pass therethrough are provided in the partition members 40, 45, 48. The vent holes 60 of the partition members 40, 45, 48 are each formed in an elongated shape having an opening length that is larger than the length of the adsorbent material 30 and an opening width that is so small as to restrict the passing of the adsorbent material 30. The vent holes 60 of the partition members 40, 45, 48 are formed by a plurality of rib-like parts 58 arranged in parallel with one another at such intervals as to restrict the passing of the adsorbent material 30.
