摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for certainly preventing dropping of a glass fragment to solve a safety problem such as those happening to a compact round fluorescent lamp that a filament electrode comes to have high temperature at the end of the service life of the fluorescent lamp to cause the temperature of a glass tube to increase, leading to a temperature difference at a microcrack opening on the wall of the glass tube, thus developing cracks as the microcrack on the glass tube grows to break the glass tube and drop glass fragments or a light-emitting tube portion that is not held. <P>SOLUTION: The compact round fluorescent lamp includes a double swirl light-emitting tube 10 having electrodes 13a and 13b on both ends of the interior of the light-emitting tube 10, and electrode covers 60 which are disposed on the outside of both ends of the light-emitting tube 10 and extend along discharge paths from both ends toward the center of the light-emitting tube 10.
