PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the end mark of an already-printed tag label tape by an optical sensor. SOLUTION: In a label preparation device for preparing a radio tag label, both a detection with a mark sensor 127 of light reflection type of an end mark PH consisting of a hole part formed in the terminal part of the already-printed tag label tape 109 and a front half cut with a cutter of a half cut unit 35 for the terminal part of the tape 109 are simultaneously performed. Since the end mark PH can be detected while regulating the tape 109 within a predetermined range of the conveyance route by the half cutter, the end mark can be detected accurately.
