PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a thermosetting powder coating material suitable for producing a powder coating material having high storage stability and excellent coating film appearance, corrosion resistance and water resistance and provide a resin composition for powder coating material for aluminum wheel suitable for the coating of an aluminum wheel in the form of a single layer or a primer. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a thermosetting powder coating material and the resin composition for a powder coating material for aluminum wheel contains (A) an epoxy-containing vinyl resin having an epoxy equivalent of 180-560 g/equivalent and a weight-average molecular weight of 4,000-15,000, (B) an epoxy-containing vinyl resin having an epoxy equivalent of 720-14,000 g/equivalent and a weight-average molecular weight of 25,000-120,000 and (C) a polybasic carboxylic acid and/or its anhydride, provided that the solubility parameter difference of the epoxy-containing epoxy resins (A) and (B) (SpA-SpB) is 0-0.8 and the weight ratio (A/B) of the epoxy-containing epoxy resin (A) to (B) is 98/2-80/20.
