<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authenticity indicator which is hardly forged and enables the easy and accurate determination of its authenticity. <P>SOLUTION: The authenticity indicator 10 gets beams of light incident from the front side and enables the determination of its authenticity with the help of outgoing light from the front side or the back side among the beams of incident light. The object 10 has: a polarized light selective reflection layer 30 which reflects the light of a special polarized light component among penetrating beams of light; and a permeable volume hologram layer 20 arranged on the front side of the polarized light selective reflection layer 30. The authenticity of the object 10 is correctly determined by its first authenticity discriminating function backed up by a diffraction action of the permeable volume hologram layer 20, and by its second authenticity discriminating function supported by the polarized light selectivity of the polarized light selective reflection layer 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
