An oral composition is provided to improve antibacterial effects on harmful bacteria in oral cavity, thereby inhibiting plaque on the teeth and preventing oral disease and gingival ailments including gingivitis and periodontitis by adding the willow extract into a cationic sterilizer. An oral composition for preventing oral disease and gingival ailments comprises (i) 0.01-5 wt.% of a cationic sterilizer selected from cetyl pyridium chloride, hexal konium chloride, benzal konium chloride and chlorhexidine and (ii) 0.1-2 wt.% of the willow extract which is prepared by extracting willow branches in extraction solvent such as purified water and ethanol, and filtering, concentrating and drying the extract.
