<p>The system is for three-dimensional sca/nning and involves a scanner (A) placed on a pallet (B) or platform in a mass production line (D). The scanner is battery-driven (F) so that it is independent of cable feed. The fixtures of the platform are related both to the area coordinate system and to that of the three-dimensional scanner. The platform can be moved in the ordinary production flow until it arrives at a work processing point where it is fixed in the same manner as a production object (E). Once fixed, the scanner commences to function, performing a measurement cycle, after which its findings are stored in an internal memory (G) or communicated to a governing system.</p> |
