A stand-type kimchi refrigerator is provided to handle a cover conveniently, to facilitate the operation thereof by automatic turning of a cover, to set a spline shaft in a spline key easily, and to enhance the practical use of an upper space. In a stand-type kimchi refrigerator equipped with a compartment plate(60) that divides the kimchi storage space into an upper space and a lower space, a front door(11) of opening/closing type is installed at the front side of the upper space. The compartment plate is equipped with an upper entrance for putting in and taking out a kimchi container and a cover(70) for opening and closing the upper entrance. The cover is combined to the compartment plate by a hinge member, and the inside of the upper space is materialized into a turning space part(S) of the cover. The hinge member consists of a first hinge part formed at the compartment plate and a second hinge part formed at the cover. A motor is inserted in the first hinge part, a power transmitting member transmits the rotating power of the motor to the second hinge part, and a switch(58) sends an operation signal of the motor according to opening/closing of the front door. The power transfer member comprise a driving gear which is installed at a rotating shaft of the motor, and a driven internal gear which is formed at the second hinge part and goes in the driving gear. In addition, the power transfer member comprise a spline shaft which is installed at the rotating shaft of the motor, and a spline key which is formed at the second hinge part and goes in the spline shaft. A receiving rack(40) is built at the rear side of the front door, so it is allowed to be placed inside the upper space in closing the front door. |
