PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information leakage prevention method capable of preventing information leakage by an unencrypted plaintext file stored in removable media. SOLUTION: The information leakage prevention method comprises a first step of starting an information leakage monitoring means by control program stored in a read only region of the removable media with an information terminal device, a second step of confirming whether a plaintext file is stored in a readable/writable region of the removable media with a started information leakage monitoring means, deleting the plaintext file when it is stored, and displaying a file group to be protected other than the plaintext file format stored in the readable/writable region on a displaying means of the information terminal device, and a third step of confirming whether a plaintext file is stored in the readable/writable region of the removable media at the completion of the monitoring of the information leakage monitoring means, deleting the plaintext file when it is stored, and completing the monitoring processing.
