PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer luminescent material that emits light of various colors with high luminous efficiency and moreover has a long life, and to provide an organic EL element that is obtained in a simplified manufacturing process, actualizes the enlargement of the area of a display and exhibits excellent durability, and a display. SOLUTION: The polymer luminescent material comprises a polymer having a structural unit derived from an iridium complex represented by general formula (1) (wherein at least one of R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>5</SP>is an arylamino group, and the arylamino group and the ring structure may be bonded to each other via a bivalent or higher-valent linking group having a conjugated system; the arylamino group and the linking group may have other substituent groups; and L is a bidentate ligand of a monovalent anion bearing a polymerizable functional group).
