<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an optical communication system, an optical ID reader, and an information reading method for properly transmitting identification information. <P>SOLUTION: In reading identification information stored in an optical ID tag by using light as a communication medium, random numbers are generated from a random number generation means, and the light of a transmission frequency unique to the random numbers are emitted from an emission means, and emitted from the emission means to the optical ID tag, and reflected to the emitting direction by the optical ID tag, and the signal components of the transmission frequency are extracted by an extraction means from a signal to be acquired as a photoelectric conversion result to the reflected light modulated on the basis of the identification information, and the signal components are demodulated by a demodulation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
