PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus capable of moving a retaining member installed on a floor and retaining an X-ray generation source and an X-ray detecting means in the longitudinal direction of a top board while retaining a space for operation and care and being inserted in the shorter direction of the top board. SOLUTION: A C-shaped arm 7 retaining an X-ray tube and a FPD (Flat Panel Display) 5 is connected to a first driving mechanism via an L-shaped arm 9 and the first driving mechanism rotatably retains the C-shaped arm 7. The first driving mechanism is retained linearly movably in the longitudinal direction of the top board 1 by a second retaining mechanism. This constitution can move the C-shaped arm 7 in a state approximately orthogonally crossing with the longitudinal direction of the top board 1. The space for the operation and the care can be thus formed in the both sides of the C-shaped arm 7. The C-shaped arm 7 can be inserted in the shorter direction of the top board 1 so as to respond to various types of radiographing and diagnosis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
