<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and cutting composite apparatus which executes rapidly and highly accurately a series of operations containing both cutting a medium and recording on the medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording and cutting composite apparatus 100 is equipped with a medium tray for supporting a sheet-like medium, a cutting carriage 130 for cutting the medium by a cutting blade 132, and a recording carriage 131 having a recording head 139 for delivering ink toward the medium.
