PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide micronized, spheroidized glass powders including a plurality of elements and a method for production thereof. SOLUTION: The glass powder is obtained through the steps of: preparing an alcoholic solution including the alkoxylated-Si and -Ba compounds and B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>; preparing a reaction solution by adding ammonia water to the alcoholic solution to make the glass powder including Si, Ba and B; centrifuging the reaction solution to separate the above glass powder; and drying the resultant glass powder comprising the oxides of Si, Ba and B. The glass powder has the particle size D50 of≥30 nm but≤200 nm at the cumulative number of pieces of 50% in a particle size distribution and also has the ratio (L/S) of the longest diameter L to the shortest one S of≥1 but≤1.5.
