SOLUTION: When executing engine output increasing control to increase engine output during down-shift control, the control device first performs preliminary output increasing control to preliminarily and slightly increase the engine output and then executes full output increasing control to fully increase the engine output toward the next shift stage. Specifically, at a time t7 when detecting that an input shaft rotating speed Nt (or a gear ratio Gr) of a shift gear mechanism is at least a set value K higher after performing the preliminary output increasing control, the control device determines that hydraulic pressure in a release side clutch is down to hydraulic pressure or lower equivalent to a predetermined transmission torque capacity where there are no accelerating feel or shock at starting the engine output increasing control, and transfers it to the full output increasing control.
