PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital recording reproduction device which can download stream data from a DV cam while a DV recording time and data are confirmed, and can automatically prepare a reproduction list after the download. SOLUTION: When recording stream data from a DV cam in a recording medium 11 or 12 randomly accessible is instructed by a DV recording button 21, the DV cam connected through IEEE 1394I/F7 and 1394 serial bus 6 is detected, virtual connection to a logical channel of an input/output plug of the detected DV cam is performed, the stream data from the DV cam are converted into a recording format of the recording medium 11 or 12, and the converted data are recorded. Also, a discontinuous point of a time code within a DV packet header is detected, a DV recording time and data corresponding thereto are displayed as a title, and the stream data are downloaded while confirming the data.
