PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved external wall material fastener which can secure a sufficient venting layer in a gap between a house main body and an external wall member to be mounted on the house main body, the gap having been blocked by the external wall member. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the external wall material fastener, a bulging portion 3 having a depth is protruded from one surface of a substrate 1 having a suitable size, except for a peripheral portion 2 of the substrate 1, and further bulging portions 5, 5 are arcuately protruded from both right and left sides of the bulging portion, followed by forming a vertical plane portion 6 in an intermediate area between the further bulging portions. Then a horizontally cut and raised portion 7 is formed at about the center of the vertical plane portion, which portion 7 is further cut to form a downward bent piece 9 and upward bent pieces 10, 10 at an end thereof in a manner expanding outward.
