PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely operate a plant even by an operator with little skill. SOLUTION: The process controller for controlling a control object on the basis of external input signals or operation signals inputted from an operation means comprises: an event detection means for detecting the occurrence of an event on the basis of the external input signals or the operation signals; a first storage means for storing bit map data corresponding to events beforehand; and a display means for displaying the bit map data corresponding to the event detected by the event detection means.
