Compressed-air breathing apparatus

The apparatus has a compressed air supply (1) with an attached air reservoir, a reversible inhaled gas reservoir (4) with the rate of admission of the inhaled gas reservoir being recorded. A valve is provided with the compressed air supply and the inhaled gas reservoir and at the output is connected to ambient air (11) supply. The valve is switched from the recording device cyclically into two phases so that it functions of the rate of admission of the inhaled gas reservoir in a first phase. An inhale line is connected with the compressed air supply and the outlet line with the inhaled gas reservoir reaching the rates of admission of the inhaled gas reservoir. An upper point of switching for the valve is provided so that in a second phase the inhale line is connected with the inhaled gas reservoir and the outlet line with the ambient air. The rate of admission of the inhaled gas reservoir reaches a lower point of switching for the valve (6) and switched in the first phase. The valve is a sliding transfer valve arrangement.
