TOILET RIM MOUNTED LIQUID DISPENSER USING VERTICAL WICKING SYSTEM

A device for dispensing liquids from under the rim of a toilet bowl is disclosed. The dispensing device includes a reservoir for holding a liquid, a wick, and means for suspending the reservoir from the toilet bowl rim. The wick transports the liquid upward from the reservoir to a position at or abo ve an upper surface of the reservoir. During a toilet flush, flush water washes liquid on the upper surface of the reservoir and/or liquid on the wick into the toilet bowl. The wick is formed from a hydrophobic material in order to repel flush water so that flush water does not travel down the side of the wick and dilute the liquid in the reservoir with flush water. In another aspect, the suspension means and/or the entire device is not visible from above the rim of the toilet bowl when the dispensing device is installed on the rim.
