PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric space heating device, reducing drop of room temperature even during the excitation stop period in the case of using a power supply having an excitation stop period such as snow melting power. SOLUTION: This heating device includes: a heater 1; a main circuit part 2 connecting the heater 1 and the main commercial power supply V<SB>1</SB>; a subsidiary circuit part 3 connecting the heater 1 and the subsidiary commercial power supply V<SB>2</SB>; a relay 4 electrically opening and closing both of the main circuit part 2 and the subsidiary circuit part 3; and a thermostat 5 capable of controlling the supply power to the heater 1 according to the ambient temperature. When the main commercial power supply V<SB>1</SB>is excited, the power from the power supply V<SB>1</SB>is supplied to the heater 1, and when excitation is stopped, the circuit is changed by the relay 4, and the power from the power supply V<SB>2</SB>is supplied.
