PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally laid roof structure prevented from local breakage and separation by reinforcing the engaged state of an upstream side molding part and a downstream side molding part by holding down with surface contact which occurs simultaneously when negative pressure is applied. SOLUTION: The horizontally laid roof structure comprises horizontally laid external facing materials 2 formed with molding parts that can be engaged with each other, upstream and downstream of face plate parts 2a and laid connected in a flow direction. The upstream side molding part 2b has a support face part 2f at the end, and the downstream side molding part 2c has a recessed part 2h respectively so that the support face part 2f is located within the recessed part 2h or above.
