PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a press working method by which productivity is improved by shortening drying time and also the cost of equipment and an installation area are reduced. SOLUTION: In this method, when performing press working of a work 10 by using a fixed die 11 and a movable die 12, a lubricant c is applied to the surface of the work 10, next, the work 10 is placed on the fixed die 11 and, after drying the lubricant c applied to the surface of the work 10 by heating the work 10 by resistance heat-generation by conducting electricity; and press working is performed by making the movable die 12 coincide with the fixed die 11.
