PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a blow-back gas quantity by a relatively easy and practical method for reducing an operation load. SOLUTION: An overlap period of an intake valve and an exhaust valve is divided into the first half and the latter half, and approximate characteristic lines L1 and L2 of an intake valve passing gas quantity dMin are calculated on the respective periods PRDFST and PRDLTR.
