PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing material having a resonator defined by a hollow projection part fixable to a transparent soundproof wall, without condensation on an inner wall surface of the resonator. SOLUTION: This sound absorbing material 1 is composed of a transparent resin material having a fixing part 2 fixed to the soundproof wall 11 and a body part 3 forming the required number of adjacent hollow projection parts 32 different in the size for defining the resonator 31. When fixing the sound absorbing material 1 to the soundproof wall 11, a trough part 33 connecting the mutual hollow projection parts 32 formed in the body part 3, forms a void K1 between the part and the soundproof wall 11.
