PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key unit in which a key head of a mechanical key is turnably supported in a holding case equipped with at least a pair of case members composed of synthetic resins and connected to each other, and in which a metal holder ring is attached to the holding case by facilitating assembly and increasing assembling strength. SOLUTION: A fitting protrusion 93, which is fitted into each of a plurality of fitting holes 92 provided in one case member 31, is integrally and protrusively provided on the metal holder ring 71 sandwiched between both the case members 29 and 31.
