PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin composition suitably applicable to a film inhibiting harmful insect-attraction film and organic glass applications, absorbing light having a wavelength of 400 nm or longer, and excellent in heat resistance and weather resistance. SOLUTION: The synthetic resin composition comprises (a) 100 pts.mass of a synthetic resin, (b) 0.001-10 pts.mass of a carbazole compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is a 1-10C alkyl group; R<SB>2</SB>is CN or -COOR<SB>3</SB>; and R<SB>3</SB>is a 1-5C alkyl group), and (c) 0.001-10 pts.mass of an ultraviolet absorber.
