PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overcharging caused by trickle charging, by setting a charging current so as to correspond to a voltage of a battery after being charged by trickle charging. SOLUTION: This charging circuit 10 performs trickle charging on the battery 1 that is discharged naturally from a charging state. The circuit comprises a recharger 21 that quickly charges the battery 1; a trickle charger 22 that trickle-charges the battery 1 by using a current smaller than that for quick charging by the recharger 21; a voltage measuring section 12 that measures a voltage of the battery 1; and a charging control unit 11 that increases the charging current in the trickle charging, when the measured voltage measured by the voltage measuring section 12 is not higher than a specified value V1, and controls the trickle charging applied to the battery 1 by the trickle charger 22 so that the trickle current in the trickle charging is returned to the initial value, when the voltage measured by the voltage measuring section 12, when after the increase exceeds a specified value V2 that is higher than the specified value V1.
