PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the difference in color between apparatus and machine for color reproduction, and reduce an error in age deterioration. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a scanner unit 1 for scanning a sheet for calibration to read image information; and a correcting unit 2 for calibratingγcorrection tables 24, 25, 26 on the basis of the image information of the sheet 10 for calibration read by the scanner unit 1, correcting the image information of the sheet 10 using the calibratedγcorrection table, and calibrating a color correction table 27 on the basis of the image information corrected by theγcorrection table. This configuration enables calibration of theγcorrection tables 24, 25, 26 and the color correction table 27 while utilizing the image information acquired one-time scanning, and the number of times of scanning in the scanner unit 1 can be reduced.
