<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IT knife (insulation-tipped diathermic knife) for endoscopic treatment or remedy of gastrointestinal cancer, which keeps its angle for raising a current-carrying efficiency by movability and rotation of the knife itself. <P>SOLUTION: A knife part 2 having an insulator 1 such as a ceramic ball on its tip end can be inserted into/pulled out of a proximal sheath part 3 to cover it. The proximal sheath part 3 is a kinked-line or staircase pattern with angles, freely rotatable at a joint part 4 and provided with a structure such as a nail so as not to drop out by rotating. A conducting wire part continuing from the knife part 2 is also rotatable without losing its current-carrying property. The parts make a tip end part of the knife, the part having the staircase-like structure is made of a shape-memory material and can be inserted into/pulled out of a forceps hole 5 of a multi-purpose endoscope body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
