PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid scanning type optical write apparatus that can apply an optimum driving voltage when driving an optical shutter element, and achieve stabilization of light output and excellent gray-scale reproducibility. SOLUTION: The solid scanning type optical write apparatus is provided which has a plurality of optical shutter elements 12a with electrooptical effect juxtaposed in a horizontal scanning direction, and modulates light emitted by a light source by turning ON/OFF the optical shutter elements 12a to form an image on a photoreceptor.
