PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption of a radiation detector while shortening the waiting time required to verify the presence or absence of reception of communication signals. SOLUTION: During the cycle of an intermittent operating time period X (ms), a CPU 6 performs (1) the processing of reading data from a counter 5, (2) the processing of computing exposure dose, and (3) the processing of communication including the verification of the presence or absence of reception of IRDA communication signals at a timing A for an activetime period T1 (ms) and performs only (3) the processing of communication including the verification of the presence or absence of reception of IRDA communication signals at a timing B for an activetime period T2 (ms).
