PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for processing a glass plate which is capable of eliminating risk of causing the displacement of the glass plate to a transportation means and applying precise and high quality processing to the glass plate. SOLUTION: The beveling machine 1 for the glass plate is provided with a processing part 3 for beveling the glass plate and the transporting means 4 for transporting the glass plate 2. The transporting means 4 possesses a carrying-in movable base 81 which is arranged in the upstream side of the processing part 3, on which the glass plate 2 to be processed is placed and which is movable in the X-direction, a holding movable base 85 which is arranged in the downstream side of the carrying-in movable base 81, holds the glass plate 2 to be beveled in the processing part and is movable in the X-direction and a carrying-in lifting means 86 immovable in the X-direction and for lifting the glass plate 2 on the carrying-in movable base 81 by the movement in the Z-direction to place the glass plate 2 on the holding movable base 85.
