<p>A method for controlling session timer in session initiation protocol is applied between the application server and the transaction user entity. The said transaction user entity includes a session timer. During the session establishment process, the method comprises: the said application server determines the time of the said session timer and transmits it to a backward transaction user entity thereof; the backward transaction user entity reconfigures the session timer of itself according to the received time of the session timer. Also, a system, application server and transaction user entity for controlling session timer in SIP is provided. The present invention can reduce the transmission time of temporary response during the session establishment process to save the processing resources.</p> |
