PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Western style toilet with a superior design having a simple structure for preventing contamination of a skirt formed on the periphery of a toilet bowl, and also to provide a Western style toilet with superior design having a simple structure for preventing not only contamination of a skirt but also contamination of a rim formed on the upper edge of a toilet bowl. SOLUTION: The Western style toilet 10 includes: the skirt 12 formed on the periphery of the toilet bowl 13; and the rim 11 formed on the upper edge of the toilet bowl 13. The Western style toilet 10 also includes: a skirt-corresponding portion 22 covering the skirt 12; and a rim-corresponding portion 21 covering the rim 11. A toilet cover 20 made of a flexible synthetic resin to integrally form the skirt-corresponding portion 22 and rim-corresponding portion 21, is placed on the top of the rim 11 to be fitted removably thereto. The outer surface of the part of rim 11 and skirt 12 covered with the toilet cover 20 is formed into shapes 11b and 12b recessed in accordance with the wall thickness of the toilet cover 20.
