LOOK-UP TABLE ROM FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A look-up table ROM(Read Only Memory) for a liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce dimension that a look-up table ROM occupies and to reduce manufacturing costs by properly dividing and decoding an inputted video signal of n bit. A first selecting unit stores m (m is a natural number greater than 2) pieces of gamma data. The first selecting unit selects and outputs a specific group defined so as to have n (n is a natural number smaller than m) pieces of gamma data depending on a first code value provided from the outside. A second selecting unit defines the group having the n pieces of gamma data output from the first selecting unit as sub-groups having gamma data of number smaller than n and selects the sub-group at least once. The second selecting unit finally outputs one piece of gamma data.
