A detail and sharpness adjustment method according to a motion measurement and an apparatus therefor are provided to offer convenience because it is unnecessary for a user to adjust a sharpness value separately by adjusting a sharpness and detail value according to the motion measurement of an input image. A motion measurement detecting unit(50) receives an image signal, and detects a motion measurement of the received image signal. A sharpness and detail control unit(30) adjusts a coring gain value and a picking gain value as a predetermined value according to the motion measurement of the received image signal, and sets a suitable detail and sharpness value. A display unit(40) displays the image signal according to the set detail and sharpness value.
