A multi-processor system provided with a plurality of unit processors has an HW semaphore unit (13) set to be able to identify a plurality of semaphores corresponding to resources. When the unit processor (PO) requests the HW semaphore unit (13) to acquire a semaphore, it judges whether this request of a semaphore acquired by a unit processor (P1) which is a acquiring semaphore is made. When this request is judged to be the acquiring semaphore, the request of the unit processor (PO) is waited. However, when this request is judged to be other semaphore than the acquiring one, a program controller (105) allows the requesting semaphore to be acquired.
