A 3D texture is really reproduced with that of a material to be simulated, but without any modeling. A texture producing apparatus comprises a regular-reflection direction calculating unit (11) for irradiating each of sample points constituting the texture with the light of a virtual light source thereby to determine the regulation-reflection direction of the light at each sample point by using the BRDF, a normal vector calculating unit (12) for calculating the normal vector of each sample point in the regular-reflection direction and in the incidence direction of the light from the virtual light source, and an unevenness information calculating unit (13) for calculating the unevenness information of each sample point on the basis of the normal vector calculated.
